Internship Opportunities

Washington, D.C. is a city of enormous diversity. This diversity is reflected in both the number and type of opportunities available. Internship assignments range from working on the staff of a senator or representative to a position with one of the numerous special interest or lobby organizations. Offices in Washington, D.C. are always in need of motivated, intelligent, responsible interns to assist on their staffs.

The wide variety of special interests available in Washington, D.C. affords opportunities for all majors. Past placements have been with non- profit public service organizations, governmental agencies, elected officials and the private sector. Student interns typically perform such tasks as evaluating and editing reports, researching assigned projects, responding to constituent requests, attending committee hearings and briefings, as well as assisting with press releases. Students from all academic backgrounds, including engineering and computer science, are encouraged to apply as there are opportunities for all majors in Washington D.C..
